Product of being a Redhead...

So here is the final product of 1) being a redhead 2) too many beach days in california 3) Thinking the use of baby oil mixed with sun was a good idea at any time in my life 4) working on
a cruise ship and 5) again, being a redhead. For crying out loud people- WEAR SUNSCREEN!
This is a basal cell carcanoma, not deadly, but can be disfiguring.. as you can see. This is after the removal. GROSS! and OUCH!

And the winner of our new home is.....

UTAH!!! I know you were all dying to know!! It looks we wont be moving to Connecticut for at least the next year. Jer and I made an executive decision that his next year here could be very profitable, so why give that up to move across the country.. It could still happen next year or the year after. But as for now we are staying here, and Jer is going to kick butt in his territory this year. I know everyone is sighing a HUGE sigh of relief.....

Our Labor day adventures...

So Saturday morning, Jer got this crazy idea. He says, " Lets go see Heather in Colorado Springs! We dont have any plans for the weekend, and we havent seen them for awhile."

Me, " Are you kidding? you want to drive 9 hrs today? stay for a day, then drive 9 hrs on labor day? Jer, " Yea, why not? its spontaneous. The kids will love it." So guess what we did? we drove 9, yes 9 hours to go visit his sister and family. Luckily we have a fabulous travel car, otherwise it could have been a total disaster. But the weekend was fun. The kids had a wonderful time. It was good to see them. Then drive back, however was not so much fun. Dax got a fever, threw up at the diner we ate dinner at, and pretty much wimpered the whole drive home. But again the weekend was fun....
Here are the kids with their cousins right before we left..

The kids first day of school *sniff sniff*

And here is Dax's first day of his second year of preschool... He is kind of over the preschool thing, and really wants to be in kindergarten. He is so bright, he probably could be. His first day wasnt as emotional for me as Ryens, I guess because I have done this before, and its his second year. But it is crazy how fast the kids grow, and I only have Ava at home now. Next year I wont have any! weird.

So here is ryens first day of 1st grade. I seriously couldnt wait for school to start again, the kids were driving me almost completely mad.. then as I go to drop off ryen on her first day, and she barely has time to say goodbye, and runs off to the playground- tears drip down my face. What?? I cried? I was so excited for this day. Ryen could have cared less.. my social butterfly was off and spreading her wings. I didnt realize how hard it would be to have my first baby go to school all day long. So funny how that is. But Im glad she enjoys herself, and is confident enough to run onto the playground and play with the first person she sees. She is such a fun person, and its going to be so much fun seeing her grow and blossom.
